Artisans at Escot was created because I felt there was a big gap in the market for a quality craft fair in East Devon. 

As a long time visitor to Craft fairs and in more recent life an exhibitor, along with my organisational skills learnt as a retail manager I felt I had the necessary knowledge to be able to organise a well balanced and interesting event. I had been keeping my eyes open for the right venue for a long while, so when I saw a paragraph on the Escot House website saying that they were looking for someone to organise craft fairs there I didn't hesitate to get in touch. 

The aim is to hold two Meet the Maker craft fairs per year, in Spring and Autumn, curating them to include a good mix of disciplines and to have new and returning exhibitors.

As the number of ceramicist applications was high we also held a pottery fair this summer, which despite unfavourable weather conditions was a resounding success. I have a longer term vision for these fairs but we need to grow our visitor numbers first, so please help us spread the word.

Escot House is a grade 2 listed mansion at the heart of a country estate. The team there are very warm and welcoming and provide the most delicious savouries, cakes and refreshments at our events.

All events are free to enter with plenty of free parking.
